(4-3-3) A one-semester course for non-science majors that investigates how the world works through discussions, demonstrations, hands-on activities, and films. Selected topics include force and motion, properties of matter, electricity, and light. This course satisfies a general requirement for a laboratory science. Prerequisite: The student must have completed all developmental requirements and/or passed all sections of the THEA test. Eligibility to enroll in ENGL 1301. Laboratory fee $25. F, Sp (4008015103).
