(3-2-3) Introduction to the science of pharmacology with emphasis on the actions, interactions, adverse effects, & nursing implications of each drug classification. Topics include the roles, & responsibilities of the nurse in safe administration of medications within an legal/ethical framework. Dosage calculations & medication administration skills are practiced in a laboratory setting. Content includes applicable DELC competencies.
