(3-3-0) Continuation of English 1301. Emphasizes critical thinking and writing skills for analysis of subject matter, form, and style of essays, short stories, drama, and poetry. Teaches basic principles of literary criticism and requires comprehensive essays evaluating each of these types of literature and a documented term paper evaluating a major literary work.
