(4-3-3) Geologic Field Methods is the study and acquisition of contemporary field techniques to study minerals, rocks, and geologic structures. Emphasis is placed on interpretation of topographic and geologic maps and examination of various petrologic systems in a field. This course requires several preparatory meetings on campus during the Spring semester, followed by intensive field study for 16 days in late May. Prerequisites: Eligibility to enroll in READ 0308, one semester of geology or related subject, and the instructor's approval. A special services fee is required. (4006015503).
