(3-3-0) + (1-0-2) A study of the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive factors impacting growth and development of children through adolescence. Course content is aligned with State Board for Educator Certification Pedagogy and Professional Responsibilities standards. The course requires the student to concurrently register for CDEC 1100 which requires 30 hours of field experience at the Kilgore College Early Childhood Center or other selected sites. Participation in an early childhood setting is required. Student may transfer 3 hrs. (TECA 1354) to a four-year college offering Early Childhood specialization in interdisciplinary studies. Prerequisite: Eligibility to enroll in READ 0308. Laboratory fee $30. F, Sp (1312025209).
