(4-3-2) A course focusing on developmentally appropriate practice during the preschool years. This course includes developing and designing interest areas and environments for discovery learning, scheduling and planning age appropriate activities, and writing daily and weekly activities and objectives. The student will demonstrate a knowledge of the adult's role in the preschool environment and techniques to encourage family involvement. Participation in an early childhood setting is required. Suggested Prerequisite: TECA 1311. Prerequisite: Eligibility to enroll in READ 0306. Laboratory fee $30. Sp (1907090009).
