(3-3-0) + (1-0-2) Physical, emotional, social, and cognitive factors impacting growth and development of children through adolescence. Course content is aligned with State Board for Educator Certification Pedagogy and Professional Responsibilities standards. The course requires students to concurrently enroll in CDEC 1129 which requires participation in 30 hours of field experiences with children from infancy through age 12 in a variety of settings with varied and diverse populations. Student may transfer 3 hrs. (TECA 1303) to a four-year college offering Early Childhood specialization in interdisciplinary studies.Prerequisite: Eligibility to enroll in READ 0306.
