(3-3-0) Art History I is a one semester lecture course open to all college students. Enrollment requires no prerequisite and satisfies three hours of Humanities or Fine Arts Elective credit. This course presents a chronological survey of the cultural, technological and artistic developments in Western Art from the Paleolithic age to the Medieval Gothic period. Artworks will be examined within the cultural, political and economic environments in which they were created. Prerequisite: Eligibility to enroll in READ 0306. F (5007035226).
