This site-based course provides students with practical opportunities to investigate current trends in reading, compare other researched perspectives, examine research in the field, and evaluate reading approaches and techniques. Special emphasis in placed on what research says about struggling readers. Prerequisites: Completion of EDUC 3301, EDUC 3302, EDUC 3303; suggested completion of READ 3600, READ 3364; and suggested concurrent enrollment of READ 3305; cumulative, major/minor and professional development GPA of 2.6; and admission to the Teacher Education Program.
