In this course students will further develop the understanding of how young children grow and develop physically, socially emotionally, and cognitively as it relates to building a background for literacy. Each area will be closely examined and appropriate developmental materials, and teaching strategies will be explored. Prerequisites: Completion and/or concurrent enrollment in EDUC 3301, EDUC 3302, PSYC 3331; cumulative major/minr and professional development GPA of 2.6. Site hours are required.
