This course introduces students to the wide varieties of children's literature. Focus is upon the selection , evaluation, and utilization of literary materials for children with emphasis on methods and techniques that may be employed in elementary classrooms to stimulate interest in reading. Prerequisites: Completion of EDUC 3301, EDUC 3302, EDUC 3303; concurrent enrollment in EDUC 3352, READ 3600; cumulative, major/minor and professional development GPA of 2.6; and admission to the Teacher Education Program.
