This course is designed as an introduction to mathematical statistics. Topics include descriptive statistics, probability, random variables and their distributions, sampling, regression, and correlation. Selected nonparametric statistics are introduced. Prerequisites: MATH 3300 with a grade of "C" or higher; MAT H 1342or successful performance on departmental examination.
