The course considers European history from 1450 to 1815, with emphasis on the thematic political, cultural, and religious developments of the Renaissance, Reformation and Enlightenment periods, and the influence on western Europe of the revolutionary transition from the Anciên Regime to the Napoleonic Regime. Prerequisites: HIST 2321 and 2322 and junior standing.
