This site-based course examines classroom management techniques and research related to the effective management of the secondary classroom learning environment, student behavior, and classroom resources. Characteristics and needs of students with special needs are scrutinized. Instructional accommodations and modifications for the at-risk learner are examined in the secondary setting. Prerequisites: EDUC 3301, EDUC 3302; senior standing; to be taken in the same block as EDUC 4308, EDUC 4358 ( secondary) or EDUC 4357 only ( all-level); cumulative, major/minor, professional development GPA of 2.6; and admission to the Teacher Education Program.
