Prerequisites: MAT 1013 (diploma), MAT 1101, MAT 1111 or MAT 1111 (A.A.S.). This course introduces the student to the basic laws of physics, with specific applications for health science students. Topics include: basic Newtonian mechanics; static and dynamic fluid concepts; heat and temperature; basic principles of waves, light, and sound, basic principles of electricity and magnetism to include electrical safety.
