Study of the curriculum choices made by early childhood educators, particularly in the areas of math, science, art, and play. Careful attention is given to developmentally appropriate practices and the TEKS, as well as the influence of the Project Approach and Reggio Emilia schools on early childhood curriculum. Students have opportunities to plan, present and evaluate lessons in math and science. Directed observation and participation in early childhood classrooms are an integral part of the course.
