SO I.Ghosh This course will explore topics in international macroeconomics, focusing on the determination and behavior of unemployment, interest rates and national income, as well as exchange rates, trade balance, and capital flows within an "open economy" framework. Applications will include the European Monetary Union, the Asian and Latin American financial crises, and the sustainability of the US Current Account Deficit. Prerequisite: ECON 302 or equiv.
