Each week lectures, readings, and discussions will explore the phenomenon of religion within American society. The goal is to introduce students to American religious diversity as well as its impact in the shaping of larger historical and social relationships within the United States. This study of American religion is not meant to be exhaustive and will cover select traditions each semester.
