NA J.Owen Faculty- guided student research is supplemented by weekly lab meetings at which students present papers from the original literature. The end phase of an immune response is characterized by cell fate decisions in which actively engaged lymphocytes either undergo apoptosis or differentiate into memory cells. Students in this laboratory study and manipulate the expression of pro-and anti-apoptotic molecules in order to understand the process as it affects both B and T cells. Prerequisite: Consent of the instructor.
