A major problem confronting Jewish educators is teaching students classic Jewish texts. This course presents methods of sensitizing students to literary techniques, such as wordplays and linguistic structures, and employing these tools as a point of entry into biblical and rabbinic texts. Many powerful literary techniques can be taught, even with younger students and students with rudimentary levels of language comprehension. Teachers will learn ways of guiding their students to attain insights into the text on various levels.
