Description:

The modern history of Jews of Middle Eastern origin is rich and fascinating but often misunderstood. It is also a history that, since the mid 20th century, has been deeply affected by the rise of Zionism and the subsequent Arab-Israeli conflict. This course will offer a general survey of Jewish history in the Middle East over the past two hundred years.
