Content An examination of the role of the theatre in society from theories of origins to the Greeks and through the Elizabethan age. The emphasis is on theatre as a reflection of its political, religious, and social contexts. Taught Alternate years. Prerequisites THE 105 or the equivalent or permission of instructor.
