Goal To improve French pronunciation through study of the International Phonetic Alphabet, learning pronunciation rules, and practicing in and out of class. Content Learn the International Phonetic Alphabet in order to transcribe French and read transcription of French in order to practice and improve pronunciation. Additionally, students will practice phrasing, intonation, liaison, and accentuation... Taught Spring alternate years. Prerequisite FRN 211 and FRN 212 or equivalents, and one 300-level French course or permission of the instructor. Credit 3 hours.
