Goal To study various computer implemented numerical techniques for modeling and solving problems in mathematics. Content Numerical techniques for solving linear and non-linear equations, systems of linear equations, and ordinary differential equations; polynomial interpolation, numerical differentiation and integration, and numerical solutions of eigenvalue problems. Taught Offered occasionally. Prerequisites CSC 216, CSC 218, MAT 206, MAT 210. Credit 3 hours; cross-listed as CSC 305.
