Prerequisite: SPN 302. Students will continue to improve their linguistic skills and historical and cultural awareness by examining some of the fundamental literary works that are essential to the development and understanding of Spanish society. Class discussion will focus on epic and baroque poetry, clerical works, La Celestina, Lazarillo, de Tormes, and selections from the Don Quixote. The course includes basic elements of literary interpretation. (Every two years)
