The purpose of this course is to familiarize students with the elements of partial differential equations and related aspects of applied mathematics in a modeling context. Topics include boundary value problems, Fourier and generalized Fourier series, Fourier integrals, Laplace and Fourier transforms, the heat, wave, and potential equations.
