An introduction to the uses of plants and plant products by human beings from prehistory to genetically engineered crops and bioremediation of toxic wastes. Demonstrations provide hands-on experience with topics including plant gums and resins, essential oils, fibers, dyes, spices, and staple plant foods from around the world.
