Prerequisite: Graphic Design (3 credits) ) and beyond This class is only offered to students who began the program in Sept. 2008 This class covers the fundamentals of typography: theory, practice, and history. Students will explore type from introductory usage to the advance use of type. The course includes the study of letterforms, composition, layout and page systems, typographic expression and communication, type with image, proportion and grids, hierarchy, legibility, etc.
