Class participants will be introduced to a complex body of language. They will become familiar with basic vocabulary of objects and activities. They will use appropriate grammar as it applies to the Washington State Basic Skills Competencies. They will explore the differences between statements and questions. Finally, students will be interpreting simple text in both oral and written form. Prerequisite: CASAS/ESL appraisal test.
