Staff Provides basic quantitative and numerical modeling skills that can be applied to any of the natural sciences, including geology and environmental studies. Students will learn fundamental quantitative concepts while exploring issues such as global warming, sudden catastrophes and the effects of steady flow of wind and water on Earth's surface. Lecture/discussion three hours a week. Not offered in 2008-09.
