D.Barber The Quaternary Period comprises the last 1.8 million years of Earth history, an interval dominated by climate fluctuations and the waxing and waning of large northern hemisphere ice sheets. This course covers the many types of geological evidence used to reconstruct Quaternary climate variability. Three class hours a week, including hands-on data analysis exercises. Prerequisite: GEOL 103 or 205, or permission of instructor.
