SO (Cross-listed in Latin American and Iberian Studies) A.Isaacs Introduction to the study of U.S.-Latin American relations through an exploration of key issues that shape relations between the United States and countries in Latin America. It examines the history of U.S.-Latin relations as well as the U.S. and Latin American perspective on each of the policy issues reviewed, and concludes with a consideration of new ways of managing hemispheric relations. Prerequisite: One course in political science or consent of instructor.
