Goal: To familiarize students with the process of creative development in elementary school children. To introduce students to various philosophies in support of the inclusion of the visual arts in the general curricula. To present art production methods and materials appropriate to specific age groups of school children. Content: The study of art education philosophies, rationales, goals, media, methods and materials appropriate in the grades K-5. Taught: Annually. Credit: 3 hours.
