Qualification tests, overhead position, are used in the evaluation of student progress toward making industrial standard welds. Topics include: overhead SMAW safety and health practices, selection and applications of electrodes for overhead SMAW, overhead SMAW joints, and overhead SMAW to specification. Prerequisites: None.
