Emphasis will be placed on personnel management, the basic supervisory functions, supervisory skills and techniques, and the special challenges and demands of supervising employees. Topics include: management theories, including total quality management; motivation, supervision, and evaluation of employees; recruitment, screening, and selection of employees; supervision techniques; and functions of management.
