(4 credit/6 contact hours) Introduces operational theory, systems terminology, field wiring/installation, and start-up procedures for programmable logic controls. Emphasis is placed on PLC programming, connections, installations, and start-up procedures. Topics include: introductory programming, PLC functions and terminology, processor unit and power supply, introductory numbering system, relay/programming logic, and field wiring/installation and start-up.
