(6 credit/8 contact hours) Web Graphics and Multimedia teaches the use of powerful tools for modeling scanned images and illustrations into creative artwork. In this course, students will learn techniques for quickly creating attractive textures for backgrounds, com-positing images seamlessly, simulating surface reflections and shadows, and creating effects with type. Advanced tools will be used for selecting parts of images, moving, duplicating, and resizing images. Students will utilize painting tools to manipulate images, and will perform adjustments to contrast and color balance. Prerequisites: SCT 100 . Corequisites: None. Spring 2009 Course Availability
