In this course a limited number of current social problems are selected for in-depth analysis. The student is introduced to a sociological approach that examines the structures and processes that contribute to "problems." Each problem is also examined for societal changes that might ameliorate the identified conditions. Several theoretical approaches are utilized. (3-0-3) Prerequisites: SOCI 1101 or SOC 202
