This course includes a thorough consideration of genetic, biological, pharmacological, sociological, and psychological aspects of addiction to legal and illegal drugs. In addition to questions of causation, treatment, and prevention strategies are discussed and observed. Upper division standing required. May substitute PSYC 4403.
