Prerequisite(s): Entrance arithmetic score in accordance with approved TCSG admission score levels. Introduces concepts and operations which can be applied to the study of algebra. Course content emphasizes: use of variables, manipulation of algebraic expressions, solution of linear and quadratic equations, evaluation and graphing of linear and quadratic functions, and solution of systems of linear equations. Class includes lecture, applications, and homework to reinforce learning.
