Introduces fundamental theory, safety practices, equipment, and techniques necessary to perform basic oxyacetylene welding operations. Topics include: welding theory; oxyacetylene welding safety; use of gas cylinders and regulators; use of torches, tips and apparatus; welding without filler rods; running beads with filler rods; butt, open butt, and lap joints; and brazing and soldering. Practice in the laboratory is provided . Hours: Class/Week 1 D.Lab/Week 2 P.Lab/O.B.I 0 Credit 1 Prerequisite: WLD 100
