Introduces hydraulic brake systems used on medium and heavy duty trucks. Classroom theory on brake systems along with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) is strongly emphasized. Topics include: introduction to brakes, wheel bearings and seals, antilock brake systems, hydraulic foundation drum brakes, hydraulic foundation disc brakes, hydraulic systems, and power assist units.
