Provides an introduction to Geographic Information Systems, a software technology for the storage, analysis and display of spatial information. Specific GIS methods are covered for use in a variety of different applications areas and disciplines, including public administration, criminology, demographic, economic and marketing analysis, transportation studies, and environmental/geological applications.
