Exploration of dramatic texts and/or ideas of performance. Focus may be placed on the conventions required for the theatrical performance of dramatic texts and/or the explorations of putting performance theory into practice and historical context. In consultation with the instructor, the student will develop a study and work plan appropriate to their interests. Emphasis will be on refining skills and knowledge in any one or combination of the following areas: acting, dramaturgy, stage management, directing, set and scenery, properties, lighting, box office, house management, make-up, publicity, sound, or costume. Those working in the acting area must audition and be cast. May be repeated for credit as topics vary (9 hours maximum). Prerequisite: DRAM 2370 or permission of the instructor. (0-3) R
