Examines the period of human life between birth and the onset of language. While attention is given to evidence for the genetic endowment of humans, the main focus is the role of the environment in development and on the long-term consequences of particular patterns of development in infancy. Daycare and its effects are discussed. Prerequisite: CLDP/PSY 3310, 3339, or 4334. (Same as PSY 3336) (3-0) R
