The objective of the course is to provide an understanding of the role of modern financial theory in portfolio management and to present a framework for addressing a wide range of issues in the management of financial assets. The topics covered include valuation, the measurement of risk and portfolio performance, the management of portfolios of fixed income securities, and derivative securities.
