This course instructs students on the utilization of the nursing process in the assessment and management of the childbearing family. Emphasis is place on the bio-psycho-socio-cultural needs of the family during the phases of pregnancy, childbirth and the neonatal period including abnormal conditions. Prerequisites: VNSG 1122, VNSG 1320, VNSG 1227, VNSG 1423, VNSG 1126, VNSG 2431, VSNG 1260, VNSG 1116, VNSG 1236, VNSG 1429, VNSG 1261, VNSG 1331. Co-requisites: VNSG 1219, VNSG 1432, VNSG 2460.
