This course provides a general survey of the major fields of theatre arts for students who have a limited theatrical experience or knowledge. The course emphasizes the various styles and types of plays, elementary theory and practice of acting and directing, basic principles of technical production, methods of construction and handling of scenery, elementary scenery and costume design. Prerequisite: CPT Reading 74. It may be applied to programs requiring a restrictive elective in the arts.
