Description:
This course covers fundamentals of photography. Students will learn how to use a camera more effectively, how to determine what equipment to purchase, how to process film and print photographs. Also included is an introduction to the history of photography. Composition, presentation and content are discussed in critiques. Field trips taken to take pictures and see exhibits are an important part of the class. Students enrolled in photography may check out film cameras from the library. If so, a deposit is required. Students who have access to a digital SLR camera may work with digital files for this class. Prerequisite: CPT Reading 74.
