An introduction to the principles and fundamental skills of effective communication in the contexts in public speaking, interpersonal communication and small group communication. This course will provide the student with opportunities for improvement in various communication situations. Fall, Spring, Summer. Prerequisite: None. Three semester hours Prerequisite: Honors COM 1310 will be membership in the Douglas MacArthur Academy of Freedom (honors or scholars level) or a 22 or above on the ACT or a composite score of 1010 or above on the SAT.
